Webinar: Leveraging Data + Structured Planning to Make 2022 the Best Year Yet

As Benjamin Franklin once said, “If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail!”

It’s October, which means that while individual contributors are knee-deep in focus, working towards hitting their end of year targets, Executive Teams are gathering to look back at the year that was while looking towards the future.

It’s these strategic planning sessions where goals are set, roadmaps for execution are ironed out, responsibility for the micro actions that yield macro impacts are given, and resources needed are sought out. The highest performing organizations do this in a highly organized way; there’s a structure, a method to how they think about their company’s vision, the goals needed to achieve that vision within various time-bound increments, what expertise is needed, by whom, etc. It’s a way to take all of the puzzle pieces of the company, lay them out on a table, and make them fit in a way that delivers the desired picture towards completion.

In addition to this structured approach, the high-performing Executive Teams will also rely on data. Simply “having data”, however, is one thing. In fact, most companies have no shortage of data at their fingertips. What many lack, however, is an ability to take data and turn them into insights.

And this is a massive challenge.

Data can take on a variety of different formats, from different departmental data sets to structured vs. unstructured data, and the systems and/or applications that these informational assets reside within can be abundant.

But if you can harness the ability to tackle strategic planning with data being a guiding force behind how your team prioritizes goals, initiatives, the roadmaps to achieving those goals, and more, then your company will be much more in control over its destiny.

If you fail to plain, you are planning to fail.
— Benjamin Franklin
